1/4 Cup (1/2 stick) Unsalted Butter, cut into pieces
12 oz. Semisweet Chocolate, chopped
1 tsp. Vanilla
Bring whipping cream and unsalted butter just to simmer in saucepan. Remove from heat. Add semisweet chocolate and vanilla extract and whisk until sauce is smooth. (Can be prepared 2 weeks ahead. Cover and chill. Before using, rewarm over medium-low heat, stirring frequently)
